Why does she keep doing this?

One of my closest friends' family is basically rich. My family struggles with money. But my friend always copies me and buys exactly the same clothes as me and clothes I like. I have to work for what I get and she just whines at her dad until he gives it to her. She expects everything to be handed to her on a plate. Her dad got her a job where he works whilst I'm struggling to find work after I quit my last job. The government give me a weekly allowance to pay for my college equipment and books, etc. She keeps saying it's not fair that she doesn't get it and claims that she's poor when her dad alone earns more than 3 times my mum's yearly wage. She always says she's poor and her family are struggling for money but at the same time she also goes on about how her family can afford this, this and this. All my other friends are fed up because she keeps moaning and complaining. I'm really starting to loose my cool with her. Normally I have patiences with people but she's making me so angry and frustrated.

This is how the young lady try to keep the attention on her.  Yes her family may make 3 times as much as your family, but they also have 3 times the bills. Her mom may be like mine and does care if they have the extra money and spends away, while the poor dad is bending over backwards to keep up with her. There seems to be more to it, just sit down and talk to her. She may be the poor little rich girl.

She probably does not truly understand the meaning of poor.  Poor to her might mean not having any of her own money having to rely on Dad.

Shes just jealous of u. U have struggle n everything to get what u want n people have more respect on u because of that. While shes just have to whine to her dad n gets what she wants. Shes a whiner n u r a survivor. Thats why people respect u, pay more attention to u, n people think that u r cooler n attractive to hang out with. Much more cooler than she is. And thats why she copies u all the way. Shes jealous. Just ignore her. U got much more important n useful things to do rather than wasting ur time to concern why she upsets u. Keep up the good work. Only a survivor who live n through their life by struggling n hard work! Life's too beautiful to waste.

people like this bug the h**l out of me. she probably has no idea what it means to have nothing and work for everything she has got.coz she relys on daddy to much she doesnt appreciate the value of money. i would have a chat with her and lay all the cards on the table tell her that she is very privleged and wher you appreciate her dad annoys her she must realise not everybody is as fortunate as she is . you say she knows the meaning of money but in my honest opinion i dont think she does hun
