  1. It's probably the temperature difference.  Usually when you drink from the tap you put the setting to the coldest possible.  While taking showers, the temperature of the water is much warmer and not drinkable.

  2. May  be because one is fresh and other is not

  3. maybe because of the chemial ..

  4. why on earth are you drinking shower water. It probably has something to do with the temperature, because it's all the same water

  5. Yes, it does all come from the same place, but if I am not mistaken, there are different treatments that it undergoes. Tap water has fluoride (spelling?) added to help promote good dental health, or at least here it is added. Shower water is generally not used for drinking, so it wouldn't have the additives. And don't think you're crazy, I noticed it when I was in a hurry and brushing my teeth in the shower the other day. Hope I helped!!

  6. Shower water...usually heated has run through the water heater.....and water you drink came from the cold tap.  Also, maybe you guys have an under-sink water filtration system?

  7. Omg, I always wondered that too, but we have a filter for our tap water, so it tastes different after it's filtered and then we can drink it :]

  8. I always wondered why toilet water has a S****y taste to it.

  9. The temperature makes for the difference in taste.

Hot water comes from the water heater and contains lime sediments, more rust and chlorine changes in taste and composition when heated.

I would recommend that you install a shower filter in your shower and never drink straight tap water but install a good quality water filter on your sink.

  10. Depends on how your house is plumbed.

My house is plumbed with pex to the faucet and to the shower valve - however from the valve to the shower head and the spout it is plumbed in copper.  If your house is plumbed that way then maybe that has something to do with the flavour.

  11. Shower water and sink water does come from the same place, therefore, it has all of the same additives, etc.  It may be from the shower head.  Lots of shower heads have smaller holes and some are made out of another material.  What you taste may be due to the other material, but it also may be a taste of calcium or another mineral built up inside of the shower head because of the small holes.

  12. I don't know, I always thought shower water tasted better.

  13. because its a different temp

  14. our minds think alike my friend!

maybe it's just the thought of it...well, thats what i think

i must say sink water can taste a little soapy on occasions...

  15. It's all in your mind!

  16. There is no taste difference in my opinion.

  17. i think its  the chemial .
