Why does smoking a cigarette give you the overwhelming feeling to go to the toilet?

Yeah i noticed that too.. Not an answer but i felt like agreeing with you, since i've never spoken about this with anyone. I might just go and buy a pack to do some "spring cleaning" (sorry i had to write it)

yep after 1st ciggy cos its a laxative and also its full of toxins which your liver tries to repel.

Things like nicotine/alcohol/caffeine can act as a stimulant and make you go to the bathroom.  You really should consider quiting smoking, it's your quickest ticket to an early grave.

Happens to me too quite often, but ONLY with the 1st cigarette of the day, 1st thing in the morning after getting out of bed. The body is very relaxed after a nights sleep anyway and the laxative effect of the cigarette relaxes the bowels past the the point on no return. I treat the situation as a benefit as I can clear my system 1st thing in the morning and feel clean for the new day ahead.
