Why does soccer mom Sarah Palin disagree with the National Academy of Sciences about GW and evolution?

She is a gw denialist, wants crationism taught in schools and also wants to overturn RvW. Can you believe these people? There is something about these denialists that is so cliche. I don't know what the relationship between abortion and global warming is, but these so called "conservatives" seem to think there is one.

  1. she doesn''t think polar bears should be endangered, nuff said

  2. Supporting links?

If you don't back up your claims with actual evidence, then people won't take you any more seriously than the GW denialists.

  3. Palin on AGW:

"Palin tells Newsmax that it’s high time Congress allows the development of Alaska’s wealth of oil and gas. She doubts global warming stems from human activity, and she considers herself both a fiscal and social conservative."

    Palin on Creationism:

"In a 2006 gubernatorial debate, the soon-to-be governor of Alaska said of evolution and creation education, "Teach both. You know, don't be afraid of education. Healthy debate is so important, and it's so valuable in our schools. I am a proponent of teaching both."

While we're at it, let's teach about the flying spaghetti monster!

Clearly beauty queen hockey mom Palin has little to no interest in science or listening to what scientists have to say.  This is not a person we can risk having one old man's heartbeat away from the presidency of the United States.

  4. How dare she disbelieve what your chosen authority wants her to believe.

Does the National Academy of Sciences claim to have any scientific proof of AGW?  If AGW was something that could be proven scientifically, then myself and a lot of others wouldn't be sceptical.

Most religious people accept that religion is not science - you can't proove it in a scientific way, it comes from the heart.  If it is taught in schools, it should be taught as faith, not science.  AGW should be taught as faith also for the same reason.

  5. Good for her!

I don't want my tax money to be spent on fixing a problem that will fix itself in a decade or two!  Remember in the 70's how everyone was freaked out about global cooling?

And I don't want kids to be told that they evolved from monkeys and the only purpose in life is to live and die and become plant food, and "if it feels good, do it!"

  6. Go Sarah. She rocks!

Luckily some of our politicians are smart enough to understand the true reasoning behind the AGW theory, and it's not to save the environment.

Apparently, you are the one drawing a conclusion between abortion and AGW. The only commonality I see is both are wrong. Or maybe you like abortion as you think the killing of children will decrease the population. Quite the barbaric ideas the left has. Future generation swill look back at this time an be appalled by our stupidity.

  7. isn't it interesting how many of the science deniers seem to use computers,  go to the doctor when they're sick,  and drive cars?

    the relationship?

seems to be answered by this question.

  8. Liberals seem to wander aimlessly from crisis to crisis as if they were a feather in the wind. They have no foundation. They are constantly looking for answers, and often follow the latest trends in an attempt to bring meaning to their lives. AGW is just another example in this fruitless struggle to find faith. Creationism is not illogical. In it's simplest form it argues that for anything to be, it must be created. Sounds reasonable to me, although I don't think it necessarily needs to be taught in schools. It is obvious that men need God for a sense of purpose. We are the only animal that I am aware of, that needs this sense of purpose. Why is that? Why would anyone want to live in a world without an unchanging standard of good? Do you feel comfortable leaving that standard to men? There's people out there that favor animal rights over those of their human brethren. Those who think we need to decrease human populations by what ever means necessary to save mother earth. Without God, evil will reign. It doesn't care whether you perceive it or not. In fact, it prefers to go unnoticed.

  9.   Thank God for people like Sarah Palin... It is so easy to condemn someone such  as this lady, because your too  lazy to research the stats  and read some of the latest scientific papers regarding global warming . Also check the stats on crime, teen pregnancy , divorce, since the removal of prayer in schools..As to abortion, our moral turpitude dictates our lifestyles,.hence "easy come, easy go" and tomorrow never comes' social attitudes..We want the pleasurable and easy life  et/al  "Gluttony" while others actually try in a physical manner ,powered by Faith and Moral fiber, try to  wake up the world to a different Evaluation of things, guided by Faith, not by religion or scientific reckoning. Thank goodness threre are Scientist who beleive in creationism..!

  10. "Creationism?"    Or "Intelligent Design?"

Is the spiritual really at odds with science?

Just because the sky is blue because of the precise combination of argon and oxygen and all the other gases doesn't mean its beauty is not a gift to be marveled at.

To be human is to look up and be amazed.    To lie in the grass and just be overcome by the glory, simple as it is, of the clouds drifting against the deep blue endless canvas.   What separates us from all other species are our capacity for reason and our capacity for wonder.   The two go hand in hand.

I do not know whether there was a person - an old man with a beard - who fashioned it all.    I do marvel at the beauty of "creation" and the creative force and at how it has worked out so well for us, and I am thankful for that.   How is that at odds with science?

  11. I don't know if Palin is a creationist or not, but I notice that like most liberals (which you have indicated yourself to be) seem to see a link between abortion and creationism.  I assure you that this is entirely a product of the collective liberal image of conservatism as a monolith.  This is the reason the Dems can't win a presidential election.  They refuse to divide and conquer like the republicans do.

  12. Maybe her silocone breast implants leaked too much.  Or maybe she snorted too much cocaine during her beauty queen years to stay skinny.

  13. Firs of all she is not a socker mom.  She is a hocky mom.

As for global warming it is a ploitical agenda wrapped up in psuedo science.  If you don't belive that just look at how people who dare to question the mere existance of this phenomena are attached by people like Al Gore who is probably on of the biggest energy wasters of our time.

    Just my 2 cents worth.
