Question:

Why does society brainwash our children when it comes to weather?

Society tells the next generation of kids constantly that sun is good, hot is good, and anything else is bad. Why? Why can't society let kids make up their own minds? By the time they are grown, they can't seem to think any differently.

  1. Yeah.  They also teach kids to fear all kinds of weather...

"Look out!  Stay inside!  A storm is coming!"

Some of my fondest memories are standing outside in a lightning storm, feeling the wind and rain on my face.  My heart stops when the lightning crashes nearby, I'm terrified and exilerated at the same time.  Too bad kids aren't taught the beauty of nature....

  2. I completely agree with you. Rainy, cool, windy weather exhilarates me. That's not to say I like it to be rainy all year, but the occasional rainy day only makes me happy. I live in a place with very changeable weather and I like it. Having hot and sunny weather every day would be h**l.

  3. When it comes to weather, just use common sense.  Wear a jacket if you're cold.  Use an umbrella if you want to stay dry.  Stay inside when there's lightening or a tornado.  Not everybody likes the same kind of weather.

    It ain't rocket science.
