  1. not everybody can be perfect.

  2. According to certain sociological schools of thought, the dominant group in society needs to marginalize and "outcast" certain members of society in order to keep their dominant status and power.  Certain behaviours and ideals are normalized and accepted, while others are considered "deviant" and unacceptable.

  3. It seems that people need someone to look down on . So , if someone does things differently , or thinks differently , they are considered black sheep , or outcasts.  Makes some people feel superior.  Too bad they have that need.

  4. Because the "outcasts" can't meet their standards. Also, they aren't mindless drones that act just like everyone else. They don't follow the crowds, which seems weird to most people, so they just ignore the "outcasts".

  5. Because society tells people how 2 do things,And some people who are Independent Thinkers tend to be contrary,I'm an outcast.

  6. You question needs defining.  Social outcasts?  Lets take it from there.  There can be many levels of Outcasts.  People like Martin Luther, he was an outcast from British society because he preached a religion against the recognised church of the empire at the time.Hence he was an outcast at the highest level, attracting the attention of the king and left the country.  You could take aboard the answer Bobby R gave you.  This intimates that people in his immediate circle have rejected him at some level, and he chooses to feel like an outcast because of possible 'antisocial' behaviour.  In other words he considers himself a 'free thinker' and chooses to plow his own field, leaving those around him to observe that he is an 'individual' within a society.  Society being the norm, Bobby considers himself 'different' from the norm, ergo he considers himself a a 'social outcast'.

You could say that people who are homeless are outcasts, because they don't conform to the norm of most of society, therefore they are the minority, or 'outcasts' from present day society.

I hope this helps you, it is a good question.

    Cheers, Richard
