Why does soda taste better in a glass bottle?

Its more of a psychological thing i think, if not that its probably cause the soda has been in that can for who knows how long lol

Soda tastes good, as long as it cold.

I agree.  That used to be the primary way it was sold. Nothing like an old fashioned Dr. Pepper in a bottle. I think it tastes better becasue glass is not pourous, like plastics and cans just have a "tin" taste.

The acid in soda probably reacts with the metal can and that adds to the flavor and takes away some of the good taste. Glass is very neutral. It doesn't add or subtract from food & drink.
