Why does sound seem to be much louder at dark?

  1. Because it is... relatively speaking.  During the daytime there is usually more background noise, but at night, there is less (and sometimes no) background noise.


  2. Its because you have lost the sensitivity of one sense (i.e. sight, due to it becoming dark) so your other senses become more sensitive and your ears pick up noises better making them seem louder

  3. because your sight isnt working to its full power so it gives you other senses an extra boost
