Why does southern Ohio seem so much like the south?

I go there to visit my cousin and it seems just like being home in S.C ,Just different weather!

  1. Yeah, that's "Ah-hi-ah" not Ohio.  If you go to northern Ohio it's not like that.  I blame in on the proximity to Kentucky and West Virginia.
