Why does spy-ware doctor say I have over 200 viruses but Norton says only 2.?

  1. likely it's because they are counting the duplicates. For example if you are infected with the Love Bug or whatever, the virus may show up in 100 separate places. Plus they want you business, and the worse it seems the more likely you will be to buy their product.

  4. Two reasons,

    1) Spyware Doctor is anti-spyware, guessing your Norton is purely anti-virus.

    2) Spyware Doctor is known to give many false positives - i.e. it says there are infections when there are none.

  6. Spyware doctor will be lisitng the amount of spyeware and adware your Pc has, which cna be pretty high, Norton will generally jsut look for Virus's Worms n Trojans.
