  1. Sustainable development is an environmentalist's concept of development. It is based on an environmental impact study which takes into consideration the effect of changing the environment " in the name of progress" , more jobs" to the immediate surounding and the people that will be affected by the project. it is multisectoral because all of the possible sectors of the community that will be affected have a voice in the decision making wether to continue, expand or stop the project.
