what causes tea to run down the undersides of the spout instead of making things easy and going into the cup?

  2. When something is warm or hot, the molecules move faster thus being more electically charged. The clay of the tea pot, if it is ceramic, contains a different electricity frequency. It in it's self acts as a magnet to the warmer water. Water is able to contant alot of electricity, for example a thunderstorm. The clay of the tea pot is cooler in temperature than the water. Hot liquids, gas, ect. are always drawn to cooler areas.
