Why does the A/C on my '01 Eclipse keep going off?

There is a green light on the dial that controls the A/C that indicates it's on. My A/C keeps kicing out and that light starts to blink. I went to my mechanic twice. He drained the freon and vacumed out the moisture and then put it back in. I still have the problem.

Most likely its you low pressure switch in the ac system. It's located on or near the acumulator

This sounds like your compressor is going out!  It will only do it sometimes when the compressor is slowly giving out.
