Why does the Australian Olympic Team wears a green/yellow outfit? ?

I mean, the Australian Flag is Blue/White/Red so I don't know where does the green/yellow comes from :S

  1. Australia's national colours are green and gold and they come from the national floral emblem, the golden wattle.  I get annoyed when I see them wearing blue for the opening ceremony and not wearing the nations colours.
