Why does the Chinese Olympics just seem like the one in Germany 1936?

Communism can only survive if your totally control the people. Only the rulers can make any public statements. Socialism is very similar. Neither system works with people who have a brain. I hope China implodes and just goes away. There form of government is just plain sick. I just hope the world really gets to see the truth of their country.

i would say the primary similarities are posturing, fronting a public image for the world to see.

I wasn't around for that one.  Were you?  I didn't see it for myself so I don't feel like the Chinese Olympics "seem" like anything to me, except maybe the Olympics.  I have no means of comparison to the media control in 1936.
