Why does the Christian still use the name " Jesus" ?

Question

Does not the christian have enough zeal for their faith to research things? The name Jesus does not even translate into anything in Hebrew. We know that the Messiah spoke aramaic which is a form of hebrew and from aramaic you get arabic but that's neither here nor there. Why is the Messiah speaking to Paul on the Road to Damascus in Hebrew?

Act 26:13 At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.

Act 26:14 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying IN THE HEBREW TONGUE, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? [it is] hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

Act 26:15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Yahoshua whom thou persecutest.

Paul says that that the Messiah spoke to him in HEBREW! If Paul knew the greek langauge where the name Jesus originates why was there a need for the Messiah to speak in hebrew to him? WHY?? Because the name Jesus translates into absolutely nothing in Greek! The name Yahoshua means YAH's SALVATION!

Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy NAME? and in thy NAME have cast out devils? and in thy NAME done many wonderful works?

Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

The first part of building a relationship with anyone is knowing their real name. If I gave you my nickname then am I really letting you get to know me?????

The first part of biblical translation comes from getting your Chapters correct.  You err in quoting from Acts 26 when you are refering to Acts 9.  Secondly, what translation are you reading.  The KJV says nothing about "IN THE HEBREW TONGUE".  Thirdly, Paul was a Jew so if he did speak to him in Hebrew it didn't matter. Fourthly, although Jesus spoke aramaic the N.T. was written in Greek

There is no J in hebrew therefore we already know that it is a translation from another language. No one is denying it. calm down.. deep breath.

Yahoshua (which is often translated as Jesus, Yasus, or Joshua in contries with english) is simply the hebrew/greek that we used to translate the name to jesus for english bibles

Adonai is our God. Elohim our Creator, another name for God. Yahweh is God. Yeshua is Jesus, but translated by the romans and Greeks to Jesus. Yehoshua is Joshua.

He spoke to Paul in the Hebrew because Paul is Jewish and Hebrew was his native tongue. It was a confirmation to Paul of who was talking to him.

Paul was a Roman Jew why not use Italian? Hebrew is the language of their religion, they were and are Hebrew, Jews.

Jesus is the name the church gave him and it is the excepted one we use today. His real name was and is Joshua ben Joseph. He spoke Aramaic his native tongue, Hebrew His religion language, Greek the common language of that day.

Why are you being so legalistic, do you think God doesn't know the intentions of the heart????? No matter how a different language pronounces His name they all understand they are worshipping the God of Israel.

jesus rarely introduced himself as jesus.

instead he used Son of Man, Son of God, I am He, The Word.

i dont need to know jesus' true name. that true name is spoken by the tongues of angels.

i just know who he is.
