I KNOW WHAT IT STANDS FOR! Why are they on the opposite side of every other team in the NHL?

  1. captain and idk what else.

  2. its the same as a guy wearing an earing on there right side. duh....no wonder. Lidstroms on that team

    BOOM

  3. Run by Polish.

  4. the real reason is because the league switched to a new style of jersey this year. the jersey is tighter, and therefore pulls the tip of the wing up towards the neck. they originally had them on there and thought that it just didnt look right, so they moved them over to the other side.

  5. Because the wing on the emblem goes too far over to the left of the jersey and their isn't enough space to fit the letter on.

  6. I believe it has to do with the wing on their jersey. I may be mistaken though.

I have a link but it won't let me post it. They had to move the 'C' and 'A' to the other side on the new Reebok jerseys. I believe it does have to do with the wing.

Yeah, I was right.......the wing comes up to high on the other side so the couldn't fit it.

  7. "C" stands for Captain

    "A" stands for Assistant Captain

  8. i honestly don't know i've always wondered the same thing. i think the wings are the only ones who have the "C" & "A" on the right side of the jersey instead of the left.

  9. Hahaha, you're gunna have to ask them.

  10. Captain and Assistant Captain, all NHL teams have One Captain and 2 Assistants to lead the team in the locker room and talk to the referees. They are always forwards/ defensemen and never goalies. At least I've never seen one.

  11. I know what you mean, I was wondering that myself, every other team has the "C" and "A" on the left side of their uniforms, but it's because of the RBK edge uniform's stiching. The new jerseys have a different stitching pattern that causes the Winged Wheel to be higher up and doesn't allow enough room for the "C" to be on the correct side.

  12. yeah i never got that either and someone asked a wing and they didnt know ha ha

  13. First of all, a real hockey fan knows the real meaning of the "A" is alternate, but is commonly mistaken as assistant.

Second, it is on the other side because there is more room because of the new jerseys as others pointed out.  The Winged Wheel was pulled up a little more

  14. c= cowards    a= *******'s

  15. I didn't know the reason until I read some of the others, but I did once see a picture from their 1950s champions, and they had the C and A on the player's right side, the viewer's left, as well.

  16. BECAUSE OF THE LAME @SS REEBOK JERSEYS.  They need to go back to the old jerseys.

  17. Chris M had the right answer.  The tip of the wing extends too high up on the left side for the A or C to fit there.
