Question:

Why does the European Union want to abolish democracy?

The Lisbon Treaty is a treaty which moves legislative powers away from national parliaments and directly elected politicians, and moves them to unelected politicians in the Commission/Politburo and Council.

Why does Europe not revolt against this attack on parliamentary democracy? The EU has always attacked national democracy so why do Europeans not stand up against the EU to save democracy?

  1. Because "Julius Caesar" type thinking has never really left European politics, or world politics for that matter.

Now this kind of thinking looks set to be hugely boosted by the Lisbon Treaty.

The despots and plutocrats want "government of the corrupt, by the corrupt, for the corrupt": which of course is very different to the "unfinished work" of former US President Abraham Lincoln.

  2. Because they are brainwashed like America is becoming

  3. Because they allowed countries like Romania and Hungary to join..  Romania, France and Hungary have already ratified the treaty.  This type of power arangement is made where most of the citizens are illiterate and not considered competent to elect their own representatives to the parliaments.

  4. because cuba is gonna be democratized by military force

  5. Let me guess, you've been readind Drudge.
