On the anomoly map, why do they compare this year to the base years of 1951-1980, which are historically globally colder years? Is this because they want to inflate the temperature anomoly?

Also, global warmers, what do you make of all of Russia seeing temperatures 9 degrees above average? How can global warming by co2 cause one area to be so much warmer than normal? How can an outlier such as that exist? Does the GISS have any temperature stations in russia, and who maintains them?

  1. I forgot how the saying goes but it is something about liars and statisticians.  It is so easy to find whatever you want when you go through statistics looking to suggest something.  i.e. "Oh look, it is the hottest March since 1966" and other such nonsense.

  2. You are incorrect.  1951-1980 was not a period of historically globally colder years.

    The 1951-1980 average is 0.26 C above the 1881-1910 average and 0.19 C above the 1901-1930 average.  And it's 0.24 C below the 1971-2000 average.

I don't know where you got you information, but it's clearly false. Data doesn't lie. If you don't believe me, calculate those averages yourself.

  3. I THINK YOUR ADDITIONAL DETAILS ARE THE KEY TO THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION.

  4. Four words.

    James Hansen

    Discredited scientist.

Have you noticed how the satellite data doesn't seem to match Hansen's land temp data - especially since the number of monitoring stations have dramatically dropped.
