  1. As opposed to what?

  2. Because people simply cannot believe the callous stupidity of her parents.   They were supposed to be intelligent, educated,  responsible people yet they were careless and selfish enough to leave 3 little babies alone in an unlocked room in a foreign country while they went out for a drink.

That is the type of behaviour we expect in this country from uneducated single parents or chavs, not people who are supposed to have responsible jobs.   How can they possibly look after the welfare of their patients if they can't even be bothered to look after their own children?

  3. You are very stupid to give out your email address on a public forum; you have no idea what kind of nutters might email you now!

However, I think the main reason the case has continued to generate so much publicity is that the Portuguese privacy laws have meant that very little actual news has been available leaving the sensation hungry press with little option but to print speculation from Spanish and Portuguese papers instead of news which has lead to further speculation and so it goes...

  4. I agree with Tiny and Shambo. Its not wise to publish your e-mail address here or anywhere else. As for your question is a case of "who done it" so there are many different theories.

  5. Some plz correct me if i am wrong but dident they leave there kids unattended while there was busy filling there bellys up at a restaurant?I feel for this child and what kind of parent would leave such yong children alone at that age.Is it any wonder the police there suspect the parents

  6. several reasons.  it's an unusual case and so people are curious.  it's been unsolved for over a year due to portugese police incompetence.  and the parents have the means to keep it in the news due to the wonderful generosity of the british public, something that gets lost amongst all the bad news and bad feeling

  7. Why do you think? she's a little girl who has  been kidnapped and quite possibly killed and no one knows who is responsible for it.

  8. If you want to find out more, I suggest you look at these sites:

    www.mccannfiles.com

    www.truthformadeleine.com

There's far more to this case than has been reported in the British media which has been more sympathetic to the parents than they deserve.
