Question:

Why does the Media give Nancy Pelosi a free pass on Gas Prices?

I am rephrasing a question I asked yesterday, and although I liked the answers, the question was not what I was looking for. Here is the new version.

I seems that this platform of "I can Fix It" was used by the Democrats and the media to push the agenda of taking over the House and the Senate. Now that we are two years down the road, we are about to break the $4.00 per gallon mark. This was a far cry from the $2.20 per gallon in October of 2006.

The News Media seems to be calling the Gas Prices a failed President Bush Policy. We all, (Democrats included,) know this is a failed Pelosi Promise.

Why is this failure ignored when it is the Big Issue!

Democrats have a commonsense plan to help bring down skyrocketing gas prices…”

— Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Release, 4/24/06

“Democrats have a plan to lower gas prices…”

  1. Because the MSM is biased, that's why.

It's really apparen't that the Liberals that voted the worst congress in history into power arent saying anything about their darlings lack of achieving anything worthwhile in over 2 years other than waste time and money on "investigating" steroid use in MLB.

No, their voters make excuses time after time about how it's still the Repubs at fault for everything and how there's really nothing they can do until the Repubs are all gone and blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.....

Pelosi and her posse never had any such plan, nor would they ever implement such a plan. That would reduce Federal tax revenue. It was merely another carrot on a stick for their donkey like voter base.

  2. democrats only hold a small majority in both houses.  The best the left can do is stop the lunacy of the right.

    Check again after the elections.

  3. Gas prices are not exclusive to either party. Both parties dropped the ball years ago during the Nixon administration by not being more aggressive on the mileage  and conservation issue.

We, as consumers, must also share in this fiasco. Why must we drive large SUVs and trucks when a better milegae car would do. Just think of the gas saved if we all got 20 mpg rather than 17mpg.

Wake up America and look in the mirror.

  4. They give her a free pass on everything, including gas.
