I have noticed the following:

If a white person is murdered, the media will not reveal the ethnic background of the wanted killer. Since the beginning of the year there have already been many murders of white people by non indigenous murderers and you will struggle to find a picture or detailed description of the wanted person.

If the situation is reversed the report will reveal far more detailed information, using words such as 'asian victim', 'racial attack' etc... Why is this?

  1. One rule for them another for us mate im afraid

  2. They do it for social cohesion. Unfortunately it merley maintains the stereotype that racist attacks are only committed by White people, which does nothing for social cohesion at all.

  3. Yes, I have noticed that . The PC brigade have got that sort of thing sewn up. According to their mindset , blacks have to be shielded from negative publicity. Of course we are not as silly as they think we are, and most of us can see what is going on .

  4. Political Correctness and 'Positive Discrimination' - now there's an oxymoron, if ever I saw one!.

  5. depending on where you live there may be laws against reporting the presumed culprit's racial background -- it reached its height of stupidity some years ago when police were hunting for a most wanted criminal and could not report that he was black.

as for the rest of your question:

journalists always look for details with which to pad their stories.  which would you rather read:

a person was killed by a drive-by shooter today

    or

a 13-year-old blind Chinese amputee was brutally gunned down by a drive-by shooter

    or

Pop! Pop! Pop!  and little Jiang Qing, Ourtown's little angel, fell to the pavement in a pool of blood.  The three pops in rapid succession, that might have been the bursting of balloons at a street festival, were fatal shots issuing from a spinach-green Reo ragtop, cutting down the 13-year-old blind amputee who sat at the corner of Main and Elm when the weather was good, selling reconditioned cellphones.

The third item has many bits of information arranged in such a way as to tug at the heartstrings, as the saying goes.  While it is over the top, as far as I am concerned, there are many media that do use this heightened prose to good effect, ie getting lots of hits or readers.  It is not so much a race issue as it is one of relatively poor judgment on the part of the reporter or editor.

  6. For exactly the same reason that its not called terrorism when the BNP blow stuff up..
