Why does the U.S. government support a country that is building illegal settlements?

Why does the U.S.government supporting a country that is stealing the land of another nation, that is building illegal settlements, that is brutally murdering the natives of this country??

USA and Britain built that 'county' by killing and driving out the people who lived there in 1948.

Therefore, America has no choice but to assist that country by ignoring all international and common laws.

Someone has to stop that support.  Maybe the new President could do something better.

If you are speaking about Israel, you have your facts totally wrong! If you ever think to check past history, you would see that Israel was attacked in the 6 Day War! They won and this gives them some rights as it does any Nation! They gave back most of what they were FORCED to conquer to live in peace! They actually have every right to go into Jerusalem and keep it! They did not start the war, just as America did not bomb or attack Japan first! They are terrorized more than any Nation, simply because most living there are Jewish! Is it wrong for them to defend themselves or are you against America for attacking terrorists strongholds? Are you talking about Israel? There's a lot of countries that we support that meet the criteria you have just stated. Our government's primary concern is self-interest, human rights and virtues are probably dead last on the list. Our government is willing to support terrible dictators if they're willing to do what we want them to.
