  1. If Macca is a prominent Brit, then gawd 'elp us.

  2. As someone else said, if Paul McCartney is a prominent Brit - God help us lol

Maybe he should stick to the affairs of his own country and stop passing comments on a country he doesn't live in and has limited knowledge of.

The majority of people living here in Northern Ireland DO NOT want to be unified with Ireland and want to remain part of the UK.

We, the people of Northern Ireland are the only ones who's opinions count here, as any changes to the country would affect us directly - the opinions of those in other countries is irrelevant.

  3. Read a few of your other answers there. They is all wrong. The truth! Britain doesn't want N Ireland and would pull out tomorrow if possible. Rep of Ireland government doesn't want the North. As civil war would be most likely if Britain pulled out. Only solution the one they use today is power  sharing government between both sides of the north Irish people. First minster is Ian Paisley Protestant second minster Jerry Adams Catholic

  4. I agree. = )

  5. Northern Ireland will always be British.

  6. Give it back!

It is ours. Noone can argue that!

  7. well i live in Ireland and they shouldn't have took n Ireland away but i don't want it back their brainwashed by the British and are not irish

  8. Yeah, hand it back.

The Irish would be begging to return to the fold after a couple of weeks.

  9. i think the residents of northern irland should get to vote on it

  10. Well there are british citizens living there who want to remain being ruled by britian. It americas civil war with bigger guns.

  11. because northern ireland clings to the uk

    some of it anyway

some of the population of norther ireland would classify themselves as british citizens, not irish

  12. well northern ireland is the one that clings to the the u.k, that's why we have northern ireland and the republic of Ireland

  13. I'd say "You're a musician, so stop sticking your nose where it doesn't belong".  The majority of people in Northern Ireland want to remain part of the UK.  It mightn't be my choice, but this is a democracy

  14. The have been offered the chance to leave the UK before, they voted against it.

  15. most people in northern ireland class them selfs as part of the british isles they hold a british passport and pay there taxes to the british goverment in time northern ireland will probably be able to go it alone like the south of ireland and not rely on a goverment that brough beats it people with rising prices that many people cannot afford at the moment northern ireland  entiled to be part of the british isles

  16. The UK doesn't 'cling' to Northern Ireland. The people of Northern Ireland - at this present time - wish to remain part of the UK. The time may come when a vote will take them outside the UK but even then will the Republic want those six counties? The heart may say yes but the head says no.

Interesting to note that Northern Ireland has something called a 'minster' in charge...I think he/she means Minister. The second Minister is a gentleman known as Martin McGuinness. The person named as Jerry Adams does not exist. Gerry Adams is leader of Sinn Fein.

  17. Northern Ireland does have a vote on it. What do you think the elections are for? And no it shouldn't be "given back" to the Irish because loyalist/protestants/unionists like myself will be discriminated against when all we've done it been loyal to the British crown. However as soon as the majority of the vote here is for irish unity the uk has already said they will let go of northern ireland. Until then we're British and we're staying that way. Its so ignorant to say something as stupid as 'give ireland back to the irish' its not that simple.

  18. Because the majority of the inhabitants of Northern Ireland want to remain British...simple really!!

  19. paul also said ,let i be

  20. Baby steps. It took a lot of talking to get this far, so it looks like a Velvet Revolution of sorts is finally within reach.

  21. Last I heard Mc Cartney was sucking on a wooden leg, then got well mugged by a trollop in the courts...he aint clued to the ways of this world..& his music is rubbish.

    btw I`m half Irish

  22. i see a lot of people say the majority of the north, well its not so one sided anymore its about 55/45 maybe even 52/48.  it will all change once we get the right to have a referendum the days of gerrymandering are over, catholics have a say in the norths furture too.  if britain wants to survive it will have to get rid of the albatross that is the north of ireland.  they cant afford 2 wars, and mass immigration as well as the north.  as long as the peacelines stay up the north will be quiet enough without the need for british involvement when they pull out.  the british are going to have to look out for number one from now on.  one thing the irish are reknowned for is bricklaying, we can build the divisions bigger and stronger.

  23. The UK has turned it's back on N.I., saying it has no Strategic, Cultural or Economic interest in the 6 counties.

This goes against what Unionists want, but they have to face facts.

N.I. now has a majority Nationalist population, but are not yet of voting age. Give it 10 to 15 years and we'll have an all-island Republic.

  24. I say "shut up", things have quietened down there now.

  25. northern ireland doesnt wanted to be part of england no1 does not the scottish and not the welsh england want us for are taxes.  y wont the english let us 3 countries vote for r  indepence. give northern ireland back.

  26. Hello Bill,

Britain is holding on to the NORTH OF IRELAND, simply because they have so much money invested in the 6 counties, and are always prepared to protect their investments using whatever weaponry they have to to do it.

I am Irish meself, and go home a couple of times a year and am ashamed at the cost of living there now, I am from the west of Ireland, as much as I am in love with my country I regret to admit that I could not afford to live there any more on a permanent basis, and having said that, I AM RETIRED NOW IN ENGLAND, and, I am costing this British government a small fortune to look after me, as I agreed to live by their rules about paying for my retirement in my younger years. and now they, have to pay me all my investments back, and this continues to be paid to my wife after I am no longer here to collect it. so that, my friend is what it's about, they are looking after their investments, no matter who they have to hurt to do it, financially or physically.. I hope that this helps you..Tony M
