  1. I'm going to go ahead and roll my eyes at you...

The U.S. is spending less than a percentage (I think it's like .18)

on foreign help. While this is a significant amount of money, it is almost nothing. If the U.S. wants to keep up its reputation of being the leading power, it must help other nations.

You say that our country is going down the tubes? The economy is declining, but other than that I don't see it going down as fast as you make it sound. The U.S. is doing great.

Besides for that, it is very moral to help other countries. You might have never lived or seen what happens in third world countries. It is extremely horrible compared to life in the US. In history books, the nations of Europe are often criticized for following a policy of ignorance. Like the holocaust...it went on for more than 4 years and 11 million people died. What did other nations do? Nothing. They wouldn't even attempt to stop Hitler when he so clearly started mobilizing and attacking other nations...

I think your view of the US is skewed...

  2. This is a great question, most of the "POOR" folks say the same thing, but then again, if you think about it, it's simple, the rich get richer and the poor die off as our Government has designed this to happen.  There are so many questions and great ones with great answers except for those that think Bush did a "GREAT" job.   Those are the ones that still will never be satisfied, until the unthinkable happens.

In his own words............. "Great Job you're doing there Bushie."

They don't have a CLUE, but most idiots don't.  I want to see Bush roll up his sleeve and get down and dirty, I want him to walk amongst the people he is suppose to serve to see how it really is.  They need to place him in the poor neighborhoods for a week and lets see how he'd survive it, all while making him appear as a minority.   But then again, he probably wouldn't feel a thing.  Because he gets to go back to his Ranch and Servants.

  3. So that the other countries won't get jealous of your affluent life style and start flying aircraft into buildings and killing thousands of innocent people...

  4. Because the US is a stubborn nation.

Accepting help from Australia and such would be a sign of weakness.

    Anyone can see that.

  5. Most Americans are idealistic.

They seem to have a paranoia about them.

They like to be "feared" into making decisions.

It's a strain of disease that I hate to think about. It's depressing.

I want to help the unfortunate. But What about my "pothole"

    out front?

I have the right to want my pot hole fix?

What about walking to the store.?

Some Americans say that the other is spoiled and should

give up all of their worldly goods to help the rest of the

    world?

Then why were we born here and belong to the Club of America. Why do we pay taxes?

Where does it say in the

Consitution that I should give because John and Mary

    want to give their's away?

This really gets me when people say. The European's have been paying

$10 a gallon for gas for years. So why shouldn't we??

    Go figure!

  6. We cause a lot of problems for other countries too.

So I guess it balances out.

  7. Every country has its ups and downs regardless the status they are in. The U.S. always helps other countries b/c the U.S. is the police of the world believe or not due to the diversity we have in this country. Plus this country has more armed forces locations through out the world more than any other country...another factor in why this country is the "police" of the world. Another factor...which ever country is helped...now they owe.

  8. 1) Expansion of empire

    2) Ability to move military into foreign soil

    3) Ability to create ties and debt

    4) Ability to redirect government funds to "mandatory charity" - and a resulting ability to steal more in the form of taxation

  9. While I think the U.S. does a little bit of good for the people, it's not nearly enough, as I lot of people would probably testify to.  We spend so much time and money, and when I say money, I mean trillions, in foreign countries trying to fix their problems more than we do our own.

Example : Compare how much money goes into such programs such as education, national security, and crime prevention vs. the amount of money that goes to Iraq weekly.  I think the figures, while I don't have them onhand, would clearly speak for themselves.

  10. Maybe they want to spread their ideas of democracy or gain allies.

Becoming the number one country in the world politically and economically might also be a goal that the US wishes to achieve.

Possibly even doing what they think is right and just. They might feel an obligation to help out countries in need when no one else will help them.

could be all, none, or some. i'm not sure. Some opinions though.

  11. Do you know how to catch a monkey?

Bolt a bottle to the floor with a mouth large enough for their hand to pass through. Put something shiny or tasty in there and they'll grab it. They can't get out because their fist is too big, so they'll sit there instead of letting go. Familiar?

  12. Nowadays a country called Kurdistan is being built by US from scratch. Infrastructure to education, houses to airports. Where is that money come from?  From US mints. That much cash causes the $ value drop, therefore prices are increased. Such as gas, real estate etc.  Why is US creating a country there? To create an ally for Israel in the region.  Why is USA helping to Israel. Because USA economy controlled by Jewish capital money. A to Z big companies owned by Jewish society. They even control US government with big loads of cash bags to Parties and individuals. It is one of the bad results of capitalism. Of course I am not judging capitalism here.  Then we would not have Mac. Donald's, Coke, Hollywood, etc probably nothing. Oh those owned by Jews also. As if I need to mention.

  13. Why are you asking us? Isnt Mr. Bush equipped to answer that kind of question? Isnt congress, in all of their wisdom, equipped to answer that kind of question? So much for the American Experiment...

  14. Because the powers that be in the US don't care about it's own citizens.  Remember Katrina????  Our people sitting on roofs for days at a time....  If that were another country, we would have gotten the people down that same day.

  15. Very good question, no clue, I wish we would spend the money on ourselves.
