Why does the alarm on my cell phone goes off at midnight?

My alarm on my cell phone a Samsung from Verizon, keeps waking me up at midnight, when it first happened I looked to see if maybe I had set it to remind of something, but the only thing that it shows is that is January 6, 1896 and no event listed and it was October of last year. This doesn't happen all the time, but for the last 3 nights it goes off.

You have to take it to the dealer from you bought the handset....some error in it..dont be scared

You need to get into your settings mode and disarm the alarm.

If anything, you could always reboot the whole phone by removing the battery for a couple of minutes.

My phone runs off of the internet, so there are times when I have to completely turn off the phone for a couple of minutes, and then restart it.

maybe you accidently put your alarm on and you just need to turn it off. if not take it to the place you got it and demand they fix it! good luck!~

Maybe there's something you've overlooked. If you still don't find anything then you could take it to the nearest mobile store and see if they can help you.

    I had someone's phone and it was switched off but the alarm still came on at 4am in the morning. I stopped the alarm from sounding off and I could've turned off the alarm if I had wanted to.

Sounds like you set some sort of alarm to go off and you can't find your setting. Take it to your Verizon dealer and they should be able to find out what's going on.

Research the date january 6, 1896. That is weird that a day in the 1800's comes up, because i doubt that is a year even programmed into cell phones. Maybe its a long deceased relative saying hey and that is the day they died or were born.

look through old photo albums.

or your cellphone is screwed

get a new one right the company
