  1. We have enough gems and jewelry in the U.S. That is why his visa is rejected. Tell him to sell something else.

  2. It could be many factors...  too frequent trips.. long stay in US each trip..

  3. Under most circumstances, a person who has faithfully observed the requirements for a visa, and never overstayed or worked illegally in the US during a visit, would normally have no difficulty in applying for a new visa. Perhaps something happened in the US that led to the denials. As Going for Baroque mentioned earlier, if he's not a Sri Lankan, applying for a visa there can be more difficult. The name Girly certainly sounds more like at least you're a Filipina rather than a local there. However, if he applied twice and was turned down, the interviewing officers should have given him some reason for their decision. What did they say?  Was he turned down under 214b as an intending immigrant, or did they give some other denial category for him?

Perhaps you should concentrate more on what they told your husband, and less on getting answers here. In the end, we all have our own opinions, but all of them put together don't matter as much as that of the interviewing officer at the embassy.

  4. Without trying to be negative, I'll tell you what I see- Your husband had a visa some years ago. He traveled a number of times to the US. His visa expired, and when he tried to renew it two years ago, he was denied. (You didn't specify if your husband has Sri Lanka citizenship, merely that the US Embassy there denied him a visa.)

When an embassy denies a visa, the most common reason is a lack of significant ties to a foreign country. Frequently the reasons are economic.  Producing "genuine documents" to verify that he is a businessman isn't the issue- I'd look for proof of income- tax returns or a bank account history.

If he's ever overstayed, this is something that could have come back to bite him now.

There are a multitude of reasons for denial; the majority have to do with economic ties to a foreign country. Other reasons might involve residency and where you're applying.  For example, if your husband resided in a different country, the consular office in Colombo might not be familiar with business in that other country, so he might be unfamiliar with economic ties to that other country.
