Question:

Why does the average society hate fat people?

I get it, 100 pounds over is a bit gruesome. But what about all those poor high school kids who get teased because they weigh like, 5 pounds over? Why? Is being a tiny bit chubby such a disaster (mentally and fashion and worldly)?

  1. not all are teased , and its fare to fat kids , but when you go to lunch wanting every body's food ,other kids see that and its just opening doors for teasing and jokes!

  2. I don't think it's like that, especially since the majority of kids are overweight now (which I think is nothing short of child abuse).

Being overweight, even just a bit, puts you at increased risk of diabetes and heart disease. It's the largest health epidemic in the US, point blank.

I think it's really the other way around. I'm a normal weight, but everyone in the US is so chronically overweight that everyone kept accusing me of being anorexic. I'm 5'4" and 123lbs. I am a perfectly normal weight, but suddenly it makes me automatically "sick" because I'm not fat.

  3. Because people are ignorant and there are many misconceptions. And cause people are just a**holes sometimes.

  4. Your not fat! At least if you are chubby, you can have the choice of losing weight! America doesn't hate fat people.

  5. Because it's a reflection of societies own gluttonous sloth.
