i don't think its real leather probably synthetic, just to be different

It really isn't leather. ITs more like a little bit rubbery plastic.  A Little sticky. I have the board

They made it leather because they wanted to be unique, i guess.

I think it would be like a full board stomp pad.

Where abouts is the leather??

I think it might e for traction and for grip for when you get of a ski lift. as only one foot is in so it could be a built in stomp pad kinda thing:)
