My living room was bristling with chargers this morning, my phone, electric toothbrush and camera all went at the same time. Is there some sort of conspiracy?

  1. it seems surge to me! u need to use surge protection device if u are accustomed to use lots of e-devices in on pwr sockets

  2. No, there are no gnomes in the walls. You're simply overloading the circuit and tripping the fuse, or so it seems.

Look at the circuit breaker, see how many amps you have before resetting the circuit and get one that's higher in amp's. Don't go overboard though.

  3. Are they plugged into a surge protection device? Also, did the lights and other things not work at the same time as your electronic gadgets? If everything else was off in the room, then your circuit breaker tripped from pulling too much current (amperage). Try spread your electronics throughout the house instead of using one area for charging.

Please do not get a higher amperage breaker! It trips and cuts the current of electricity to prevent the wiring in your home from overheating and causing a fire!

  4. Yes, definitely a conspiracy.  The rechargeable batteries of the world are synchronising gradually so that all our appliances will simultaneously run out of power!  Excellent question, it gave me a good chuckle, and obviously confused the h**l out of some!!!
