  1. too powerfull for our week minds

    that simple

  2. for "self-preservation" ??

    ??? I find myself wondering:

"how on earth do you make *this* observation?"

minds might well operate differently, one from the other ...

but if you have only a single thread of thought at a time,

how can it be obseved that some *other* part of the mind

    inhibits this thread?

perhaps all minds have *areas* where the thinking process

runs into kinks and obstacles (engrams?) but conscious

mentality can scarcley "look ahead"  ...

  3. well i would guess if you thought of some thing you where thinking of, then you would think of the thought you where thinking  if that makes sense.plus if you are thinking of something its in the present, thought is in the past,... or is it.

  4. good question

  5. I don't think your premise has been, or even could be, established objectively.

Maybe you have in mind something like the old adage, "Most people would rather die than think, and in fact do."

Cognitive dissonance explains a lot of our resistance to new ideas.
