  1. That is precisely the reason for not sprouting !!!!!!

    Now let us look at the reasons =

    1 ) If you literally mean " Dal " when you say Dal then it will not sprout as it is with out the embryo =

    2) If the Dal you kept under water for 2 days does not look like the one in the pictures above but looks like the ones in the images below == click on the link please ==

    Then your choice is accurate but the method is wrong =

    These pulses or any other whole seed of grains and pulses is to be soaked in water for NOT MORE THAN EIGHT HOURS !!!!

    That means you can keep it under water only for that much duration and NOT 48 hours !!

    After wards it is to be taken out of water and kept for germination covered with a fine cloth or in a covered vessel!!

    When it remained in water for long duration the process of ROTTING  had set in !!!

    Follow my method and with in two days they will sprout . No doubt about it !!!!
