Why does the democratic party diminish women running for high office?

The Dems only fear women who are powerful, especially a hockey mom that eats moose and is married to a fisherman.

Umm...we don't.  Many of us dems just don't like Hillary.  She says one thing, but her voting record proved another, and therefore if she had won the party nomination, I would have been forced to vote for the "other" bad choice...McCain.

Yes, I believe that Hillary Clinton SHOULD have won the nomination.  But to blanket statement that the Democratic party diminishes women because of it is nonsense.  I didn't see any women running for President (let alone any non-white, for that matter) in the Republican Party in the first place.

We don't diminish women. I think Obama was the better choice. People simply disagree with you that's all. It has nothing to do with women. The fact that Palin is so far right makes me cringe at the thought of her having any power over my life, not that she is a she.

Because she is totally unqualified to be president.  She has no foreign policy experience.  She's been governor of a small state for a little more than a year.  There are 19 cities in the U.S. with a population greater than Alaska.  She'd probably make an excellent mayor for one of those.
