  1. These DI's don't know you and don't care to really. Their job is to toughen you up. There are so many types of people in this world and they wanna make sure you can pass the first test of keeping your mouth shut. It's a easy way to find out what kind of person someone is when you sit there and yet at them. I understand you aren't very well educated with the military but that's just how it is and always has been. Your either military or you're not. They aren't there to be your friend they are there to be your worst nightmare.

  2. they want to make sure everyone who gets off that bus knows who is in charge.  Young goobers who go into the military who are smart alecks ..they just want to put them in their place before they even have any thoughts of who is in charge.  ...that's with all the military branches.

  3. they are pushing you to your limits. stressing you out as much as possible so you can handle working in high stress situations such as combat

  4. his orders are to "weed out all non-hackers who do not pack the gear to serve in my beloved corps."

marines have drill instructors not drill sergeants.

i do not envy what he is about to go through. tell him that no matter what he's done in his life, nothing will compare to the pride he feels on graduation day.

and you stay away from jodie while he's gone! (inside joke for marines)

  5. Cuz they can. And also to make an example of you.

  6. Drill Sergeants are in the Army , the Marine Corps has Drill Instructors.

They yell at recruits because they want to see if you can handle the pressure. Everything at boot camp happens for a reason. If a DI  really yells at a recruit its because they keep messing up and they are holding back everybody with their mistakes. The recruit keeps making mistakes it pisses off the DIs and they yell.

The whole point is to teach Marine Corps Recruits not to break under pressure and hold their bearing. If the recruit can't handle that kind of pressure what is he or she going to do in war conditions?

    Think about that.

    Your boyfriend will be find.

    Good luck
