Why does the game FIFA come out so late in the season?

Like FIFA 08 and 09 came and are coming out in October, most of the leagues in the world start in August. Like Madden comes out before the NFL season and so does NBA Live. Why is FIFA so late?

The games aren't completely in sync with the football season, probably because FIFA is a British made game wheras the other 2 games you referred to are American made.
