Question:

Why does the gas to all the burners on my barbecue cut out after I turn on the third burner?

I have a Perfect Flame 5 burner stainless steel barbecue (model #slg2006c) that I just started having problems with. When I turn on the grill, I can only use two of the five burners at a time. When I try to turn on the third, the gas cuts off to all three. I have tried different combinations of burners, thinking that it was just a problem with the farthest right burners, but I have the same issue. I have switched out propane tanks and still the same result. Any suggestions?

  1. I do not know for sure. Have you looked at the regulator to see if the air hole is plugged. Try to knock the regulator a little bit to see if it is stuck. It sounds like a low flow problem with the gas.

  2. make sure you turn  on the gas valve on the tank first, then turn the burner on to light it, and make sure you turn the burners off before you turn the valve on the take off

the new valves have some sort off pressure valve inside

  3. Sounds like a hole in the hose or a bad connection to the tank
