Why does the government not want a enviromental friendly windmill?

I have designed a low cost way to produce power that i will sell at a very low rate to people, but the current government only talks of wanting green renewable energy. For 7 years now I have tried to create my power company, only to do battle with the same government that tells the world they want my idea. Why?? Can anyone tell me?

  1. Are you trying to sell windmills or are you trying to sell electricity.  because to the government and the power companies there is a huge difference.

  2. I don't know about the Government, but I read it's the people that don't want them.  They are complaining and crying saying, I don't want that big ugly thing by my house.

  3. Governments only want renewable 'green' energy to be provided by power companies and not generated by private households because they can tax companies..... its all about money.

  4. Aesthetics are constantly mentioned with wind power.

    Unforutnately I do NOT understand this.  Aren't the wind-mills in holland part of the romance and allure of the country.  They were used for milling, but all ANY electric generator is doing is turning a turbine, you could use the same design to do this.

    Oh, and as for those mentioning wind doesn't work unless it's windy, true, and solar doesn't work unless it's sunny, and hydro doesn't work unless there's water running. So...

    How about solar panels, with wind turbines, and rain harvesting/gray water, drainage moving turbines, this way when it's sunny, you have power, when it's windy you have power, when it's raining you have power, when you shower you're making power, when you flush your saving water & making power.  This way you're only without power on a still clear night, when not using water.  (These seem to only happen in the summer, when there's more sun during the day.)

  5. The current US administration is in bed with oil companies.  The previous ones were probably as well, but not as much as the current one.

    Keep trying and don't give up.  Instead of creating a power company, try selling your product to individuals first.

  6. not the government

    the tree huggers use the government.

    out where i live it the same environmentalist that want green energy and want us to go to wind power.

    they are the same people that block any windmill projects.

    sometimes i think to be a environmentalist you have to be schizophrenic

  7. What is your product? Are you selling electricity or turbines and to who?

    if electricity then;

    first did you do an enviormental impact study?  It doesn't matter what industry it is, sewege, oil refinery, or green energy,  you need to do one. Second get all financial backing in place, no one is going to pay for this for you. I hope you weren't thinking the goverment would just hand you a bunch of tax money and say have at it. If you bought Mathew whatever with the question mark suit's book FREE MONEY about goverment grants you wasted your money you could have gotten all that info online for free and those grant programs while still on the books with applications have no money avalible for those programs. Your going to need private venture capitol, so have a good feasibility study and a faboulos buisness plan. Then find a suitable location to build your power plant that doesn't violate any zoning laws, thats the tricky part everyone knows we need a new garbage landfill just don't put it in my town. then hire a slew of engineers surveyers etc. because you won't get permit one if there's not detailed drawings of everything on file. so yes it's going to cost millions before you turn the first shovel of dirt.

    Or if your going to sell to individual home owners;

    You can start the same way every other small buisness started, out of your garage. Microsoft the giant it is was started by gates and allen in a garage now look at them.

    My company started 7 years ago as an internet direct company in a garage last year we did just short of 5 million in sales. still not a lot when you deduct all expenses but we're still growing.

    I too am starting a new company for my sons, selling wind turbines VAWT (verticle axis wind turbines) geared for home use, and yes it will start out of my garage, internet direct and JIT manufacturing (just in time) as soon as I finallize the design it has to go for UL testing (usa) and CE (europe) this is to make sure your windmill won't burn someones house down. Sorry no one will just take your word for it that it's safe. Then set up your web site order parts recruit dealers create install guides for liscensed electricians to follow warrenty forms etc. etc. and wait for the first customer to order.

    VAWT are small don't make a lot of noise and work in a 5 mph wind so there suited for every country in the entire world.

  8. Wind power is c**p unless you are in an area that is constantly windy. Very few countries are suited to using wind power but the stupid greenies keep pushing for it.
