Why does the group I started doesn't appear in the group directory?

It may take at least 24 hours to be listed in the directory.

"It’ll get listed in the Yahoo! Groups directory within a few days, in the category that you select during the set-up process. Occasionally, our team of category editors comes across groups they feel have been miscategorized, and if this happens with your group, we’ll let you know."

If you selected the option for your group to be listed in the directory when you were creating the group and if your group is new, it will take a few days or up to a week to appear in the directory.
