  1. In case you didn't know, according to the human anatomy, humans have tailbones. Just because we don't have a tail protruding out of our butts doesn't mean it isn't there. If you ever look at the behind of a human skeletal model, there is a small bone that points down towards the anal area. Embryos have a formed tail, but as the baby grows it shortens down and becomes hidden beneath the buttocks.

  2. Yes, it has to do with evolution.  It's a vestigial structure and the result is a tailbone.

  3. its a vestigial structure left over from evolution

  4. Same reason we go through a phase where we have gill slits like our fish ancestors and full body hair like our primate cousins.  Let's see the IDers explain that one in terms of fixed and immutable species.

  5. Anita,

Although some will tell you our coccyx (tail bone) is a left over from our evolutionary past serving no purpose, this ,as is evolution is total nonsense. The coccyx provides an attachment for nine muscles, such as the gluteus maximus and those necessary for defecation. It also acts as something of a shock absorber when a person sits down, although forceful impact can cause damage and subsequent bodily pains....Hope this helped...God bless you !

  6. yeah! it's evolution. notice that "vertebrata" animals' embryos look same for some while. then they change. embryo alsa has a gill looking thing which changes to ear holes later.

  7. No. Nothing as anything to do with a process that was invented by men called evolution.

  8. We develop in the womb in the order of our evolutionary history as a species.

  9. One Word: Satan

  10. humans are animals too.

  11. yes...

  12. How else are we gonna know if its happy?

  13. we are everso evolving animals

  14. The human embryo has a tail because our distant evolutionary ancestors had one.

Why the idea that embryonic development recapitulates the entirely of human evolution is not entirely correct, there certainly seems to be a kernel of truth in there.

We may not actually develop gills - the body still remembers what muscles moved those gills when we were fish. Just ask Oliver Sacks.

  15. Cause its stylish?

  16. because we start life as fish

  17. It's your backbone dear

  18. every one has a tale if you ask to hear it
