Why does the human mind need constant stimulation?

We always complain that we are bored. But why do we need to be occupied all the time?

The brain is an organ. All organs need to function and excercise. The human brain is far more complex than any other known to man and it's the constant thoughts and production that keep us alive. We, as human beings need stimulation to keep our brain cells functioning (which allows thought,speech etc). Also, we're constantly learning, observing and adapting.

It can often be seen as a defense mechanism.  We keep our minds 'busy' to distract us from that which we really fear confronting.

With confidence, meditation, and maybe letting go of what you really can do nothing about, you might actually experience serene reality, here and now!
