Question:

Why does the image on my TV look like I have zoomed into the program?

The top and bottom of the image is cut off. The picture is clear and find, I just don't have the top or bottom of whatever program I'm watching. For instance, if I'm watching the news, I cannot see the ticker at the bottom of the screen or if it says "Live" at the top of the screen, I don't see it. Any ideas?

I'm using Dish Network DVR, Wide screen Toshiba projection TV, and a Magnavox DVD player/recorder.

  1. check to see if on your menu for the dish that you have the 16 by 9 setting, then go to your tv menu and be sure the setting there is not on one of the zooms.

  2. shut d dumb box get a tv tuner card for ur pc of notebook

  3. Also,

    your if

    you have

    an HDTV, it

    should have an

    aspect ratio adjust-

    ment in its menu.  Adjust

the ratio and you should be in

business.  You may have to refer

to your Toshiba's owner's manual for details.

  4. I dont use dish network but I have used both direct tc and cox cable and they are all the same. With the new HD boxes you can have different aspect ratios for the screen. So yes, there is a botton that will zoom in or stretch the picture. Just figure out what buttont that is on your remote and click it.
