  1. I'm not entirely sure what you were asking but it sounded like you are curious as to why lighting will strike gold (the metal). Well, it is a property of the element Gold (Au) that it conducts electricity very well. Lightning is created by a great difference in charge which can be balanced if the voltage is shared between the Earth (which is neutral). Seeing as Gold is a fantastic conductor, lighting will choose to be conducted through Gold as opposed to any other substance as this is the most convenient path to the Earth. I hope this helped.

  2. Gold's a transition metal, all of which are good electrical conductors.

  3. No logical connection.

Lightning strikes those which are oppositely polar objects.

    Gold is a transition metal

    - Very Malleable

    - Good Electrical and Pyrotechnical conductivity

    - Least Reactivity in Acids

This is physics OK, Lightning strike the gold!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    1. Room temperature- The lightning strike the gold, then the electricity will went to sea of electrons of the element Gold, gold has small resistance, so the some of the electricity will phased into heat, so the gold will be HOT!!!

    2. Absolute Zero- The lightning strike the gold, then the electricity will went to sea of electrons of the element Gold, gold has NO resistance, so the electricity will be travelling around the gold FOREVER, because there is no loss of energy, so the gold will be ELECTRECUTING OBJECT Forever.

  4. No it dosent, it strikes steel or trees.

  5. A lightning strike will follow a path of least resistance. Whether that's a tree, skyscraper, telephone pole, or you standing out in a field. It will choose the shortest path, with the least amount of resistance.
