Why does the message"javascript null/void" come up when I try to refresh in My Yahoo?

Why do I not get notice of new emails unless I exit Yahoo and open it again? Is this the same failure to refresh problem?

Ensure you're running the most recent version of Java, updates are available at http://www.java.com

If you're running "Chat" in email you also need the latest Flash Player, http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/ya...  follow the link provided by Yahoo! and it will confirm you have the correct version or offer to update.

Both updates will only take a few seconds on high-speed, a little longer on dial-up.
