Why does the milk reacted with the vinegar?

... i accidentally spilled milk on the vinegar.the spilled milk curdled... why???

    Sift it in a cheese cloth and enjoy!

    ( actually it would have to much vinegar) but thats how they started making simple cheeses.

    Acids such as lemon and vinegar are natural coagulants.

    It acts as a substitute for rennet.

    Milk + acid=coalulation=cheese.

  3. usually what happens is, fat molecules in the milk have atoms that want to react with atoms in the acidic vinegar. so the milk curdles because of a chemical reaction.
