Why does the new season of weeds suck so bad?

I keep waiting for it to get better... but im losing hopes. It just gets more and more ridiculous. Cmon.. shane wankin it to his mom one day, and then a menage tois the next...and hes like what...13? Part of the appeal of the show was the realism... now I have to watch nancy getting spanked by the mayor of Tijuana and then guillermo..the worst actor in the whole show...who I hoped would be cut out last season...acts like any even worst fake *** mexican ganster.

Does anyone know if this season is like a big joke and theyre really gonna surprise us all at the end when she moves back to agrestic/majestic and it gets better? Should I just stop watching?

And who the **** decided to get rid of the opening song!? That was one of the best parts of the show!

why are these shane story lines seem so dumb? first with seeing judah and now him and his pictures of his mother?

I am soooo with you.

I wasn't into the show at all, then my best friend got me sucked into it, we watched Seasons 1 & 2 on DVD over the course of 3 days.  I was totally hooked.   As soon as I got home, I called and had showtime added to my cable.  Now I'm bored and ready to cancel it.

I agree with you that in the earlier seasons there was a realism to the show, now it has jumped the shark.  ok, Mary Louise Parker is cute/attractive and I'm sure hot to some.  but hot enough to get every guy on the show to want to get with her despite her bad choices??   She's told to stay out of the tunnel.. immediately goes into the tunnel, but instead of killing her, Esteban starts sleeping with her?  Sure, sure head of the Mexican mob would totally do that - he'd never just kill the stupid white lady to protect his illegal activity... and then when she goes over guillermo's head to get a share of the weed, he just gives it to her.  Sure, totally realistic.

And Celia??? What happened to Celia.  From tighta** suburban housewife one season to total burnout nut job the next?

It is just so bad.  The only reason I'm still watching is Doug and Andy still crack me up.

I hate when a show jumps the shark like this.  I loved Rescue Me the first few seasons, but then it got ridiculous with every bad thing you could ever imagine happening to the characters, it was over the top, manipulative and just bad.   Same with Nip Tuck.  Ughh, so frustrating.. seems like every show I love gets cancelled (don't even get me started) or just gets bad after a couple years.

Phew, I feel better getting all that off my chest.  :)
