Why does the news media treat John McCain with kid gloves?

The news media never mention anything negative about McCain but alway seem ready to create lies and other untrue stuff about Obama.

hes retired military, a combat vet, former pow, (and an old white guy) that trumps anything bad. obama is a noob, you let him play but he has to endure the hazing (and hes only 1/2 white and 1/2 old)

Depends on your source for news, try watching/listening, to NPR,PBS,BBC. You will get fair coverage there. The big news networks just dream up stuff everyday to keep people watching. I have watched a whole evening of network news and learned nothing the policies of the candidates, but a lot of the nonsense. Network news is, gossip with commercials.
