  1. Passport applications require parent information to further verify your identity. Say your name is William Smith. It is possible that there are other people with the same name as you, born on the same month, day, and year as you do. How will they differentiate you from them? Your parents.

Destination, date, travel plans are information that may be used to further evaluate your application and aid in their background check.**

  2. It's another form of proof of citizenship verification. Just like on your birth certificate, it has parents names. As for destination, date, and length of travel, many foreign countries require that a trip is planned in advance. That's not including the extra shots needed for many foreign countries. Also, some countries may have places that are off limits to foreigners, or are high risk areas that may require a waiver just to go in those areas (like journalists in war territory).

  3. first of all to acknowledge your citizenship ,

if you are a minor ? parents permission to leave and to have a passeport

second ,some countries requires visas to travel and if you are in the US ? some travel warnings issued by the US as well ,

the length has to do ,with overstay in some countries ,one cannot overstay a visa

  4. because a minor could get a plane ticket and leave the country without parents............  for the second thing i would say maybe say Iraq they dont want just anyone running around over there
