  1. harder to deal with rebels coz they dont have rules except rule of the jungle.

  2. rebels are basically civilians and the coup plotters are military personnel. it is easier to round them up for the simple reason that you know who they are. and the people from the south never ever fights fair, so no matter how hard they come to them, they could never pin them down because they hide among the civilians, and knowing how important kinship in Filipino culture, nobody turns over their brother's friend, etc..

besides, the military is the primary source of the rebel's artillery and weapons. why would you attack the general's business partners? lol

  3. Two reasons: The MILF claims to represent a religion, and is a huge armed group, conflict with which may lead to several civilian deaths.

  4. why?

because these coup plotters, rebels, insurgents are all puppets of the Philippine government controlled by the military/ex-military. (corrupt!)

you will often hear from military personnels, "one trick to control the situation is to create the situation".

so, now the situation is created ( insurgency, rebellion, coup attempts, etc etc)..its easy to control the governement according to their personal needs.

if they don't have anything to do with it, they can just sweep them off all of them.

  5. one is internal problem, while the other can trigger oil price fluctations from the muslim mideast brothers

  6. They consider the other easier than the other...
