  1. This whole affair probably could have been avoided with a clear head by the drunks in the crowd . The media story makes out that it was only the cops that were at fault . If you believe anything the media prints without checking out the story , you are going to be in for a long hard life . What is the media in business to do , sell their stories slanted enough to make you want to read the story . How exciting would this headline have been ? Police remove arrogant , cursing , drunks from wedding party at the request of hotel owner .  Not very exciting , but truthful because that is exactly what happened . the story goes on to say that the police leader kept threating to arrest them all if they did not comply and tat the party goers had a contract with the owner for longer . They all think they are lawyers when they have had a little to drink . the fact is that what the police leader said was pure fact , he could arrest them all if it became necessary ,

Their right to party ended and canceled the contract when things began to be broken , things got really loud , and when the manager asked them to close it down and the partiers ignored him . The tasiers came out when the partiers became violent with their threats and actions . Much easier on evryone if the police use the tasiers or gas on them than to get guns involved , because some party goer might decide that he had a gun and a right to use it if he needed to . Cooler heads and better choices could have prevented the entire thing .

  2. That's it, you found something online...it must be true!!!

  3. Abuse of tasers by law enforcement happens all the time.

America is becoming a police state. People won't believe it until they see it first hand.

If there is something I can do to wake people up, please do tell!

  4. I don't find it surprising the guests have a different story. After all, they are friends with the wedding couple.

When you have different stories, the first step is to see what both sides agree on. Apparently no one is disputing there were things broken, and the guests were told to leave. The next step is to find a "disinterested party". In other words, someone who has no interest in the outcome. In this case, the owner of the hall is the one who summoned police. If it was bad enough that his staff could not handle it, I'm not surprised someone had to be tased.

I find the photographer's comments interesting... he implied just because they rented the hall, they could act any way they wanted. And of course, the photographer was the bride's friend, so you know any photographs released will favor that side of the story.

  5. Uh, the one guest in the story said that "Andy" got mad and had to be restrained (that is had now- not was or anything) and Tasered by the Police.  It sounds to me like the guest is stating that the groom started acting disorderly and the Police tried to arrest him.  If you resist us then don't cry when you get 50,000 volts, wet your pants (or worse), fall on the floor, and then get cuffed.  I wasn't there (and neither were you) but it sounds like there isn't much of a gripe here.

Keep in mind also that the gallery staff reported the disorderly conduct to the Police.  That would support the Police account that the crowd was causing problems.  It's not like the Officers randomly showed up and attacked or anything.  They were called there to shut an unruly party down.

  6. Usually the scenario goes like this:

Subject unruly/uncontrollable. Subject refuses to settle down. Subject gets Tasered. Subject now A LOT more controllable. Subject arrested. Now that subject arrested and controlled, questions asked and answered.

  7. It "seems" that way since people believe everything they see online.

  8. They like that feeling of "power".

  9. Safety: community, officer, bystander.  There is a use of force continuum we use so it must have been warranted.

  10. Because the cops know that they can get away with it.

  11. Because they used to get in a lot more trouble when it was shoot first.  So now they've gone to taser.

  12. becauase POLICE operate ABOVE THE LAW and do whatever they want to whomever they please  just so long as it is their favor ............you know the saying shoot first ,ask questions LATER,much later to their advantage.

i live in a town where 5 officers beat a mentally challenged man to death 2 months ago because he could not speak .he was traumatized  when he was 15 when his father desserted him and never spoke a word after the abandonment.the guy,now in his 40 's was smoking a cigar on a loading dock, which was a  daily ritual  to him,now he was murdered by 5 public servants, sworn to uphold the safety of our communities.and this story  is THE TRUTH.........................I KNEW HIM.........................
