  1. Well, dryers get hot. Is it abnormally hot? You should have a service technician come look at it to make sure it's electrically sound. If the power shuts off it could be a tripped breaker meaning you have too many things running at once and it's hazardous. Are you running any other energy consuming devices at the same time?

  2. Remove the duct and see if the air is running strong and hot, if not and it is hot on top, lint buildup is blocking the air and not too difficult to clear.

  3. I have a roper too!! Good dryer. However, you may have a short in the system. Check your fuse/circuit box to see if there isn't a power load on any one circuit. Are there other things sharing the same circuit. A dryer should be on its own circuit because it uses a lot of juice.

You can call a service technician or electrician to check. I wouldn't use it until you check it because a fire is not a good thing.

  4. Do you mean the power supply to your home? Like the circuit breaker? Or just the dryer itself? If it's the whole house supply, then your dryer needs repairing or getting rid of. It could mean a dangerous electrical leakage if it's tripping the circuit breaker.
